‘Tis the Season for Hallmark Christmas movies. Phase 1 of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2021 lineup was announced earlier today. It’s so big this year that Hallmark is announcing their all original Christmas movie premiere dates in phases. Lucky for us, the first phase is jam-packed with holiday goodness.
What is Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas?
For the past twelve years, the Hallmark channel has put out all original Christmas movies that quickly became the favorite of many. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting in mid-October a new holiday movie premieres on both the Hallmark channel. In addition to the Countdown to Christmas, over on Hallmark’s Movies and Mysteries, you can share in the Miracles Of Christmas programming. There is truly a Christmas movie for everyone during the Hallmark season.
What’s New For Hallmark’s Christmas Movies in 2021?
We are seeing a lot of familiar faces in brand new holiday movies that I’m sure will delight us all. In addition, Hallmark has locked in some huge Hollywood stars for this year’s Christmas lineup including Lea Thompson, Kevin Nealon, and Christopher Lloyd. This is also the first year that one of the new movies will premiere solely on the network streaming service, Hallmark movies now.

Friday, October 22: You, Me & The Christmas Trees
Starring: Danica McKellar, Benjamin Ayres, Jason Hervey
We kick things off with Olivia, an evergreen expert, who joins forces with Jack, a Christmas tree farmer. It appears all the Christmas trees were struck with an illness which put the 100+ year family business in jeopardy. It’s up to Olivia and Jack to help sort out the problem and save the family business.
Saturday, October 23: Boyfriends of Christmas Past
Starring: Catherine Haena Kim. Raymond Ablack. Paul Sun-Hyung Lee
A new take on the ghost of Christmas past. Lauren, a marketing exec is visited by the ghost of her four ex-boyfriends.
Sunday, October 24: The Santa Stakeout
Starring: Tamera Mowry-Housely, Paul Campbell, Joe Pantoliano
Tanya, a police detective, is partnered with fellow detective Ryan, much to her dismay due to an uptick in holiday party-related robberies. To help solve the crime, they go undercover as newlyweds and move into the home next to the chair of the communities Christmas committee, Mr. Miller, aka the prime suspect. As Tanya and Ryan begin working on the case they get swept up in the magic of the holiday season.
Friday, October 29: Christmas in Harmony
Starring: Ashleigh Murray, Luke James, Loretta Devine, Michelle Williams, Basil Wallace
Harmony is tricked by her ex-boyfriend into auditioning for the Holiday Chorus. Will the power of Christmas music bring these exes back together?
Saturday, October 30: Coyote Creek Christmas
Starring: Janel Parrish, Ryan Paevey
At a “Christmas Around the World” party two people find that love is in the air.
Sunday, October 31: Christmas Sail
Starring: Katee Sackhoff, Patrick Sabongui, Terry O’Quinn
Liz returns to her hometown in order to care for her estranged father. She reconnects with her best friend while attempting to give her daughter the perfect Christmas.
Friday, November 5: Open by Christmas
Starring: Alison Sweeney, Erica Durance, Brennan Elliott
Nicky finds an unopened Christmas card from a secret admirer from high school. Nicky and her best friend, Simone make it their mission to uncover the author.
Saturday, November 6: Next Stop, Christmas
Starring: Lyndsy Fonseca, Chandler Massey, Lea Thompson, Christopher Lloyd
Angie dreams about how different her life would have been if she married her ex-boyfriend who is now a famous sports reporter. She hops on a train to visit her family for the holidays when she suddenly finds herself 10 years in the past! She uses this second chance to find out what really matters in life.
Sunday, November 7: A Christmas Treasure
Starring: Jordin Sparks, Michael Xavier
Upon opening a 100-year time capsule she begins to wonder if she should move to New York to work on her writing career.

Lara and Ben are exes in an intense Christmas competition to win money for charity. They must decide if victory is more important than their feelings for each other.
The Christmas House 2: Deck Those Halls
Starring: Robert Buckley, Ana Ayora, Jonathan Bennett, Sharon Lawrence, Treat Williams, and Brad Harder
The Mitchell brothers are back to compete and see who can create the best Christmas house.
The Nine Kittens of Christmas
Starring: Brandon Routh, Kimberley Sustad, Gregory Harrison
Zachary and Marilee, both cat lovers, are thrown together at Christmas when they have to work together to house a new litter of kittens.
Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday and Sister Swap: Christmas in the City
Starring: Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Ashley Williams, Mark Deklin, Keith Robinson, SusanYeagley, and Kevin Nealon
This year there are two interconnected movies with sisters Jennifer and Meg Swift. The sisters are incredibly close but live miles apart. Jennifer is a widower raising a son in Utah while Meg lives in their hometown where she helps their parents run their bakery. This Christmas is the first Christmas without Uncle Dave who owed the local theater, The Madison. Jennifer returns home for the holidays in hopes of having one more holiday full of family memories at The Madison with her son and family.

Nicole, who recently lost her fiance, is learning to work through her grief with the help of her grandfather and a carpenter she hired to help fix the house she once shared with her fiance.
Saturday, November 6: Debbie Macomber’s A Mrs. Miracle Christmas
Starring: Kaitlin Doubleday, Steve Lund, Caroline Rhea
Mrs. Miracle helps a family who’s on the verge of losing their faith.
The Christmas Bond
Starring: Holly Robinson Peete, Lyriq Bent, Nik Sanchez
