The weather is finally starting to cool down and you know what that means? Christmas will be before you know it! One of the best ways to help kids prepare for Christmas is with a fun advent calendar. This year I set out to find the best advent calendars for kids 2019. It’s still early so there are only a handful available, some are preorder, so be sure to bookmark this post and check back to see all the best advent calendar for kids 2019 as they become available.
One of the best parts of Christmas is the excitement and anticipation of what’s behind the little door or box in the advent calendar. It helps keep the magic of Christmas alive and well.
Last year I switched things up a bit and got my children two types of advent calendars. I got them each a traditional 24-day countdown to Christmas one and also a 12 Days of Christmas sock calendar. They loved having both styles of calendars. Target had the best selection of 12 Days of Christmas sets so I’ll be on the lookout this year’s releases as they become available.
For now, let’s focus our attention on the traditional advent style calendar that allows your children to open one box per day for the 24 days leading up to Christmas. Advent calendars have come a long way since I was a kid. Not to date myself, but the only advent calendars available then were of the chocolate-filled variety. Now there are so many options, it’s hard to decide which one to get for the year.

Funko Pop Advent Calendars
This year Funko Pop went all out with their advent calendar options. They learned quickly from last year’s success of their Harry Potter advent calendar to add more fandom options to their lineup.
