One way to kick off the season of giving is to celebrate some of the unique and silly holidays in November. One of the easiest ways to celebrate each month is with these unique silly holidays. Kids love silly things and what’s sillier than celebrating random days? November has some great and unique holidays. Let’s get into it:
Â
Â
Â
November 1 – National Brush Day
This is sometimes known as National Brush Your Teeth Day. The day follows Halloween, which traditionally is the single most significant day of candy consumption in the USA.
Â
November 2 – Cookie Monster Day
Since it is Cookie Monster’s birthday, you could celebrate by making a Cookie Monster cake or by eating cookies.
Â
November 3 – Cliché Day
Celebrate the day by using cliché sayings and phrases. At the end of the day, Cliché Day is just a bit of fun. You would have to be crazy as a loon to let it drive you up the wall, for crying out loud.
Â
November 4 – Candy Day
Eat candy, of course! Be adventurous and try something new.
Â
November 5 – Doughnut Day
Do you need an excuse to enjoy a doughnut? Today is the day.
Â
November 6 – Paper Airplanes Day
All it takes is a simple piece of paper and a few clever folds, and you can create an airplane all your own showing Wilbur & Orville Wright that their feat of creating an airplane wasn’t really all that impressive.
Â
November 7 – Merlot Day
Sit back, relax and enoy!
Â
November 8 – Tongue Twister Day
Say Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers 10x fast. Or, Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear, Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair, Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t very fuzzy, was he? Now you try it.
Â
November 9 – Play Games with the Family
Have you tried Pie Face? This is one of our favorites.
Â
November 10 – Vanilla Cupcake Day
Share some cupcakes with your friends and family and watch an episode of the Food Network competition show, Cupcake Wars.
Â
November 11 – Red Lipstick Day
Flaunt your red lips, pucker up and share the photos with friends.
Â
November 12 – Happy Hour Day
Have some friends over for drinks. You won’t be able to reap the benefits of half-off drinks if you are throwing your own party, but you don’t have to worry about how you’re getting home
Â
Â
November 13 – World Kindness Day
Today is the day to perform random acts of kindness. Say good morning to the person in front or behind you on line. Put uplifting notes in lunch bags, on computer screens, or on the bathroom mirror.
Â
November 14 – Lighten Up, Loosen Up Day
Today is the day to let things that normally drive you up the wall, slide so that you can be free of that pain and that worry. “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a white, you would miss it”….Ferris Bueller
Â
November 15 – Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day
The time is perfect for this day as Thanksgiving is coming soon and you will need room for all the leftovers.
Â
November 16 – Fast Food Day
People all across the country celebrate by going through the drive-thru, dining inside or ordering their fast food to do. The first Happy Meal was introduced in 1979.
Â
November 17 – Take a Hike Day
Be sure to wear good shoes, take a snack and bring a buddy, but get out there and enjoy the fresh air, scenery and get a little exercise to boot. On the other hand, someone may be on your last nerve and you just want to shout, “take a hike!”. Either way, enjoy!
Â
November 18 – Mickey Mouse Day
Grab your mouse ears and celebrate. Mickey Mouse is the most famous cartoon characters. He is the first to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He made his screen debut in “Steamboat Willie” in 1928.
November 19 – Play Monopoly Day
Put your banker cap on. Gather your family & friends and play Monopoly. Are you the lucky one to land on Boardwalk & Park Place, or do you find yourself in jail. What are your house rules? We start with $500 under the Free Parking space and add all the fines. Some lucky person will land on the spot and collect all the money.
Â
November 20 – Peanut Butter Fudge Day
Stop by the local confectionary store and treat yourself to a piece of fudge. You deserve it.
Â
November 21 – World Hello Day
Say hello to at least 10 people today.
Â
November 22 – Go for a Ride Day
Get up and get out! Make today a day to set your spirit free on whatever mode of transportation suits you best – bike, boat, car, skateboard, sleight – it doesn’t matter. .
Â
Â
November 23 – Cashew Day
The plain, or salty truth of it, is that today is National Cashew Day. It’s a nuttda, if there ever was one. Celebrate by eating cashews.
Â
November 24 – Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day
Sing out loud, dance on the streets, paint a picture, jump through hoops, or wiggle your nose. Can you do headstands for an hour while singing the national anthem and balancing a basketball on your feet? Me neither.
Â
November 25 – Blasé’ Day
We have permission to be blasé (indifferent, bored with life, unimpressed) today. Unimpressed by pumpkin spice everything? Heard the same pop song for the 4th time today? Be blasé.
Â
November 26 – Cake Day
Eat Cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Have a cake baking contest at work. Whoever wins gets to take the leftovers (if any) home.
Â
November 27 – Tie One On Day
This is not at all what you were thinking. This day celebrates the apron. Buy an apron, bake something, tuck a note in the pocket, wrap the baked good in the apron and give it to some in need on Thanksgiving Eve.
Â
Novermber 28 – HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Gobble till you wobble!
Â
November 29 – Square Dance Day
Today is a great day to get up, grab your partner, and “Dosey Do”.
