In: Fall, Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving will be here soon and you know what that means – FOOD! Who doesn’t love Thanksgiving food? Sure, turkey is great and all but the side dishes are where it’s at! Can ya tell I get excited about Thanksgiving food? This year I decided I wanted to make a master list of all the side dishes I made over the last few years that I love and add in a couple that I can’t wait to make in the future. In my mind I thought that can help us all – one spot for all the best Thanksgiving side dishes.

First, do you have a favorite Thanksgiving side dish you make every year? I would L-O-V-E to hear about so please let me know in the comments. If you want me to share the recipe with the readers of The Inspired Holiday just email me.

Now let’s get to the star of the show – all the best Thanksgiving side dishes

All The Best Thanksgiving Side Dishes

Vegetable Side Dishes for Thanksgiving

What’s Thanksgiving without a ton of delicious harvest vegetables. Believe it or not, in our family we are all {kids included} obsessed with brussel sprouts! Vegetables make for some of the best Thanksgiving side dishes – here’s a great sample of Thanksgiving vegetable side dishes I’ve tried and some I hope to try this year.

Green Bean Casserole

Brussel Sprouts Gratin

Bacon Maple Green Beans

Garlic Herb Mushrooms

Brussel Sprouts and Bacon

Mashed Turnip Casserole

Green Beans and Mushrooms

Corn Casserole

Roasted Carrots

Thanksgiving Potato Side Dishes

Mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, roasted potatoes – whatever potato you like there’s a little something here for everyone. Personally, I love my Mom’s sweet potato casserole. I don’t even try to replicate it because I know it will never be as good as the way she makes it. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday to host but Mama always has to bring the sweet potatoes or it’s not really Thanksgiving. Potatoes are one of the staple Thanksgiving side dishes.

Instant Pot Sweet Potatoes

Mashed Sweet Potatoes With Sage and Brown Butter

Scalloped Potatoes

Slow Cooker Sweet Potatoes

Roasted Red Potatoes

Yukon Mashed Potatoes

Candied Yams

Buttermilk Pumpkin Mashed Potatoes

Thanksgiving Stuffing and Dressing Side Dishes

Whether you call it stuffing or dressing this is the real start of Thanksgiving. I know in our family we use to fight over who takes home the stuffing so now we literally make a pan for each family that comes to dinner.

Herbed Sausage Stuffing - Keto, Low Carb & Gluten Free

Herb Sausage Stuffing

Gluten-Free Stuffing

Thanksgiving side dishes are truly the best part of Thanksgiving in our home – how about you? Do you prefer Turkey over all the other dishes on Thanksgiving? Hopefully, you found inspiration for new dishes to try this year. If you have a Thanksgiving side dish you want me to try or include in this post feel free to comment below. As always, I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!
