Vegetable Side Dishes for Thanksgiving

What’s Thanksgiving without a ton of delicious harvest vegetables. Believe it or not, in our family we are all {kids included} obsessed with brussel sprouts! Vegetables make for some of the best Thanksgiving side dishes – here’s a great sample of Thanksgiving vegetable side dishes I’ve tried and some I hope to try this year.

Mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, roasted potatoes – whatever potato you like there’s a little something here for everyone. Personally, I love my Mom’s sweet potato casserole. I don’t even try to replicate it because I know it will never be as good as the way she makes it. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday to host but Mama always has to bring the sweet potatoes or it’s not really Thanksgiving. Potatoes are one of the staple Thanksgiving side dishes.

Whether you call it stuffing or dressing this is the real start of Thanksgiving. I know in our family we use to fight over who takes home the stuffing so now we literally make a pan for each family that comes to dinner.
